The Delaware Benefit Information System (DEBIS) provides information about benefits available in Delaware. It covers disability, employment, health, welfare and other benefits, attempting to describe as simply as possible the various eligibility rules and the rules for calculating benefit amounts. It is integrated into the WorkWORLD Help/Information System to provide you with a wide range of Federal and State information, and so that the information DEBIS contains can be accessed by using the WorkWORLD Help/Information System's Table of Contents, Index, and "Find" features.
If you are using this Help/Information System on the Internet, click the "Show Navigation" link at the upper left corner of this screen to reveal the similar Contents, Index, and Search features. Also see Using the Help/Information System On The Web for additional features and operational information.
Much of the information is drawn from online sources that are available on the Internet. Where applicable, DEBIS provides you with links to those sources so that you can easily find more detailed information and additional links to related information.
We have attempted to simplify and explain the various policies; in doing so we may have left out rarely needed information that is nonetheless important in your particular situation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before acting on any information contained within DEBIS or other parts of WorkWORLD, you should check with a representative of the applicable agency to ensure that your proposed actions will have the results you intend.
