DE Transportation Services Overview

Delaware DART First State logo DART First State operates a number of services of special interest to Delaware residents with disabilities and residents receiving welfare benefits:

· Elderly/Disabled Reduced Fare: Reduced fares are approximately 40% of full price fares for fixed route bus service (30% with a DARTCard). Individuals who are blind ride free.

· Paratransit Services: Paratransit services for individuals with disabilities who are unable to use the public fixed bus routes. Reservations are required at least one day in advance.

· SCAT - Senior Citizens Taxi: A 50% discount on taxi fares for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.

· Welfare-to-Work Transportation Programs: Free transportation to job interviews, free transportation for the first three weeks on a job, reduced-fare cab and van service, carpool-matching services and additional programs that are available in specific areas.

All DART buses are wheelchair accessible.

DART offers travel training free of charge.
