DE Emergency Services

The Delaware Division of State Service Centers (DSSC) administers three emergency services programs:

·      Emergency Assistance Services: Emergency assistance funds for rent, utilities and emergency shelter are provided for eligible low-income persons in order to help them to maintain self-sufficiency and prevent homelessness. The funds for this program come from the Division of Social Services (DSS). For more information about this program see: DE Emergency Assistance Program.

·      Community Resource and Assistance Services: Emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities, emergency shelter, and other critical needs is provided for low-income persons by bringing together resources from faith-based and non-profit organizations. For further information, contact the Division of State Service Centers.

·      Emergency Housing: State Emergency Housing Funds support contracts with emergency and transitional shelter agencies to provide temporary housing for those in need. For further information, contact the Division of State Service Centers.
