This topic describes Delaware Works, a program overseen by Delaware's Workforce Investment Board. Delaware Works operates under the authority of the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA). The WIA focuses on several core objectives, including:
· Providing services to job-seekers in a "one-stop" environment
· Empowering job-seekers to choose training through the use of vouchers (Individual Training Accounts)
· Ensuring a strong leadership role for businesses
Delaware Works provides job training, education, and employment opportunities through One-Stop Centers. Services may include:
· self-assessment programs
· resource rooms
· job seeking skills workshops
· training information
· funding assistance for qualified applicants.

The Virtual Career Network provides free employment assistance by allowing job seekers to post their resumes and search for jobs online. The Virtual Career Network also assists employers to search for candidates with specific skills.
