· Holding agencies accountable
· Access to culturally competent services
· Educating public and policy makers
· Empowering persons with developmental disabilities and their families
· Supporting independence, productivity, inclusion, and integration of persons with disabilities
· Promoting quality of life and protecting rights and opportunities.
· All people should have inclusive communities and have rights and responsibilities as citizens.
· The integrity of families needs to be supported.
· Providers should be consumer-driven.
· Equality should be promoted.
