DE UI - Seasonal Employment Claims

For Unemployment Insurance (UI) in Delaware, seasonal employment is defined as the first processing of agricultural or seafood products.

Seasonal employees are individuals who are employed with an identified seasonal employer, even if they do not work directly with that seasonal product.

If 75% or more of your Base Period wages are from seasonal employment, as defined by Delaware law, you are only eligible to receive benefits for those months employed in your Base Period.

For example, if your work occurred from May through September in the Base Period with a seasonal employer, you may draw benefits only during those months.
