If you return to full-time work, your Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits stop on the very first day of work, even if you don't receive your pay until some time later. It may be possible for you to receive a partial payment for the week of reemployment, depending upon the day of reemployment.
Reemployment status must be reported on the weekly pay authorization form. Then the claimant must report to the UI office to file an additional claim in the next week of unemployment or when work hours have been reduced in order for further benefits to be paid.
If your return to work is part-time work or if the claim is for a reduction of hours, and weekly income exceeds the earnings allowance, you must report to the local UI office to reopen the claim.
Similarly, if you are working part-time or at reduced hours, and a week occurs when no work is performed and no wages are payable, you will need to reopen your claim in-person at the local UI office.
If you return to part-time work, you must continue to seek full-time employment and meet all program eligibility requirements.
