The Delaware Division of Unemployment Insurance (UI) determines your eligibility for UI by first examining your wages during the Primary Base Period. This is the time period that is first used to calculate your earnings eligibility and benefit amounts.
Your Base Period is the first four of the last five completed calendar quarters immediately preceding the date that your UI claim is effective. Wages considered are those paid to you during the first four of the last five completed calendar quarters preceding the effective claim date.
The Base Period may also used to determine the cap for your Benefit Credit -- the total amount of benefits you may potentially collect during the 52 weeks following the effective date of your claim.
3-month period:
Beginning January 1, ending March 31
Beginning April 1, ending June 30
Beginning July 1, ending September 30
Beginning October 1, ending December 31
