The Department of Rehabilitative Services (DRS) provides a range of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services. After your initial evaluation, you and your DRS counselor will decide if any of the following services are required for your vocational rehabilitation:
· Further Evaluation Services needed to make decisions about your vocational rehabilitation.
· Counseling, Guidance, and Referral by your counselor.
· Reasonable Communication Accommodations (if no other entity is legally obligated).
· Tools, Equipment and Occupational Licenses not typically provided by your employer.
· Telecommunications, Sensory and Other Technological Aids and Devices.
· Transportation Services you need to participate in DRS services.
· Rehabilitation Technology Services (including devices and modification to your home, vehicle, work station).
· Personal Assistance Services (PAS) you need to receive DRS services.
· Medical Services (not otherwise covered by insurance) you need to become employed.
· Vocational Training (such as Job Training, Post Secondary Education, Work Adjustment Training to learn new work skills and work behaviors you need.
· Time-limited Supported Employment (SE) Services: Up to 18 months of assessment, placement, on-site training and on-going support to stabilize an individual in a job. (In some cases an additional 18 months of on-going services will be authorized if appropriate.)
NOTE: These time-limited SE services should not be confused with long-term Supported Employment (SE) for Individuals with Physical Disabilities.

· Job Seeking Skills Training (such as interviewing and resume-writing).
· Unpaid work experience.
· Job Placement Assistance by your counselor.
· Post Employment Services to help if you have problems after you start working.
If services you need are not available where you live, the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center (WWRC) may be one of the service providers you and your counselor consider. For more information on WWRC, see WWRC Services.
You may be required to help pay for the services to be provided (depending on your ability to pay). For more information see: Financial Participation.
DRS will not fund many services if funding for comparable services is available through other government agencies, health insurance, or employer benefits. See Comparable Benefits Policy for more information and exceptions to the policy.
