DE DSS - Income and Eligibility Verification System

The Delaware Income and Eligibility Verification Systems (IEVS) obtains and verifies income information needed to determine eligibility and benefit amounts for the Temporary Aid for Needy Families (TANF), Food Stamps, and Medicaid programs. The IEVS obtains:

·      Unearned income data from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)

·      Social Security Disability Income (SSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), pension, self employment earnings, wage data and verification of Social Security Numbers from the Social Security Administration (SSA)

·      Wage data and Unemployment Compensation data from the Delaware Department of Labor (DOL)

·      Licensed motor vehicle ownership data from the Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Except for IRS information, IEVS data is stored in the Delaware Client Information System (DCIS II). For more information about DCIS II see:
