TAFDC - Table of Eligibility Standards - Exempt Assistance Units - Massachusetts

The figures in the TAFDC Eligibility Standards columns are used in the 185% test of financial eligibility for exempt assistance units. If in any month the total gross income of the filing unit, excluding only income that is non-countable, is above the appropriate Eligibility Standard for the exempt assistance unit, the assistance unit is ineligible.

Column A is used for assistance units that are not eligible for the rent allowance, and Column B is used for assistance units that are eligible for the rent allowance.

From September 1, 2005 to September 30, 2005, inclusive, the appropriate Eligibility Standard shall be increased by $277.50 for each applicant and recipient under age 19.
