Food Stamps - Changes During the Certification Period - Massachusetts

Households must report changes that occur within the certification period that may affect eligibility determination for food stamps. Such changes include, but are not limited to:

·      Changes in the source of income

·      Changes of more than $25 in gross monthly income (except changes in the Public Assistance grant)

·      Changes in household composition

·      Changes in residence and the resulting changes in residence expenses

·      When the value of cash on hand, stocks, bonds, and money in bank or savings accounts reaches or exceeds a total of $3000 for any household with at least one member with a disability or who is age 60 or older, and $2000 for all other household that are not categorically eligible

·      Changes in the legal obligation to pay child support
