The Delaware General Assistance (GA) Standards of Need/Payment Standard is used both to determine the income-eligibility of your GA Assistance Unit, and to determine the amount of your GA cash grant.
A family or individual is not eligible to receive assistance if income, after exclusions and disregards are subtracted, exceeds the standard for the size of the Assistance Unit.
The amount of the assistance grant is determined by subtracting income (after exclusions and disregards are subtracted) from the standard for the size of the Assistance Unit. Grants are not issued in amounts less than $10.00.
There is no regular schedule for updating these standards. They change very infrequently. These standards were current as of October 2006.
