SoonerCare - Eligibility Overview- Oklahoma

SoonerCare medical benefits are available to pregnant women and children under 18 and people with disabilities. Application may be made at the county Department of Human Services (See: http://www.okdhs.org/okdhslocal/ for locations), doctor’s offices, or the health department. Certain financial eligibility standards must be met.

The following are the excluded populations:

· Those who are institutionalized

· Those who are eligible for Medicare

· Those who must spend-down their income to be eligible for medical benefits

· Those who are receiving services under a Home and Community-Based Waiver

· Those who are in the custody of the Department of Corrections or Department of Mental Health

· Those children who are in State or Tribal custody
