Other Work Expenses - Section 8

WorkWORLD asks you about other work expenses. "Other work expenses" means work expenses other than those that are deductible; that is work expenses other than child care expenses and the cost of attendant care and auxiliary equipment that enable a family member to work.

WorkWORLD uses this amount both in calculating your net income and in determining how much you may be able to include in a Plan for Achieving Self-Support (PASS). if your Social Security Administration (SSA) representative agrees that those work expenses may help you move toward an occupational goal that will help you become more self-supporting.

NOTE: If you do include some or all of your family's other work expenses in a PASS, you should still enter the amount of those expenses in answer to the "Other Work Expenses" question.

NOTE: Contact your Public Housing Agency (PHA) if you are not sure how to annualize your expenses.
