Unless an exemption or exception applies, household members between the ages of 16 and 60 must comply with the Food Stamp Employment & Training Program requirements. If individuals fail to comply with these requirements without good cause they will be disqualified from the Food Stamp Program. They must:
· Register for work at application and every 12 months after initial registration
· Follow program rules and procedures
· Provide information to the Department of Transitional Assistance regarding employment status or job availability when requested.
Unless an exemption or exception applies, household members between the ages of 18 and 50 must comply with the Food Stamp Work Program requirements. Failure to comply with these requirements for 33 months in a three-year period without good cause may result in ineligibility. They must:
· Register for work at application and every 12 months after initial registration; and work at a job for 20 hours per week averaged monthly; or
· Work at a community service site for a specified number of hours per month (determined by dividing the monthly food stamp allotment by the minimum wage); or
· Work at a job less than 20 hours per week and at a community service site for a specified number of hours per month (determined by dividing the monthly food stamp allotment by the minimum wage)
