In the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, Countable Income is the income amount used to determine the TANF Grant Amount.
It is the TANF Assistance Unit's Gross Income minus the TANF Earned Income Disregards.
Note that Gross Income is defined as Unearned Income plus Earned Income minus Excluded Income.
