The intent of State Supplementary Assistance is to supplement the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program when a person has a financial need that is not met by the SSI program. Covered financial needs include costs of home health care, residential facility care, a dependent relative, living in a family-life home, and additional costs of a blind person. (Blind supplementation is administered solely by the Social Security Administration.)

· In-Home Health-Related Care (IHHRC) Assistance
· Residential Care Facility (RCF) Assistance
There are also Additional Benefits available to Recipients of State Supplementary Assistance.
