EAEDC - Residency Requirements for Eligibility - Massachusetts

Residents of Massachusetts are eligible for EAEDC. This includes any person living within the Commonwealth, even if they do not intend to remain in Massachusetts permanently. Any person(s) who enters Massachusetts for the purpose of obtaining EAEDC, however, does meet the residency requirements for eligibility.

Temporary absences do not interrupt continuity of residence. Reasons for temporary absences include illness, business, school, or family commitments and must be verified. Temporary absences may not exceed 60 days unless approved by the local Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) office.
