An assistance unit is composed of those persons whose needs are considered in determining eligibility and the amount of the EAEDC grant, and who are eligible to receive benefits under EAEDC. All persons in the assistance unit must be included in the filing unit.
A filing unit is composed of those persons whose income and assets must be considered in determining the eligibility and/or amount of the grant for the assistance unit, regardless of whether they are included in the assistance unit.
A household is the total group of persons who live together. The household may include persons who are not in the filing unit. In order for the assistance unit to be eligible for EAEDC, the filing unit may not have assets greater than the asset limitation or income, including income deemed to it, greater than the allowable limits for income.
