Current Status of WorkWORLDTM Support in the District of Columbia | |
0% |
Currently, residents of the District of Columbia can go to the WorkWORLD order page to place a paid order for the WorkWORLD program. See Achieving Free WorkWORLD in Your State Through Pledges for complete information about support pledges. Please make a pledge today. You can also urge leaders in the District of Columbia, listed below, and others to make a pledge. Pledges from your state, the District of Columbia, will be posted on this web page. |
Providing constructive feedback to leadership to help improve government policies and programs is a worthy endeavor. Most people in leadership positions do value the opinions of people experiencing or close to problems in our system.
Citizen-provided information is often the best and most accurate information a leader can receive. Sometimes it is the only way they can learn about real issues, difficulties, and successes of government initiatives to serve their constituents. We think leaders respond to positive feedback that they believe is accurate and reliable.
Providing your opinion and feedback to leadership could help get WorkWORLDTM provided free to all in the District of Columbia. This page provides, as a convenience, key contact information for agencies in your state and members of your state legislature. A different page has contact information for federal agencies.
Additionally, the Achieving Free WorkWORLD in Your State Through Pledges page shows how state agencies, community-based organizations, and individuals can help build a state funding pool to make WorkWORLD free to residents of the District of Columbia.
If you do contact leadership, tell them why WorkWORLD is valuable to you, and how you use the WorkWORLD program or website. Leadership can be encouraged to visit our explanation page for our new funding structure, so that they can consider the value of working with us to arrange for free distribution of our software to all that want it in the District of Columbia.
Contact information and agency structures change frequently at the state level. If you find information here that needs to be updated, or if you know of other people and agencies in the District of Columbia that should be added to the list, please email us at workworld@vcu.edu.
You may also wish to review our new funding structure page which details changes in distribution and other steps we are taking to keep WorkWORLD available for all.
