Persian Gulf War veterans can call a Helpline at 1-800-749-8387 for information about available medical care and other benefits. In addition, the VA provides information on benefits and medical care research, including assistance for Gulf veterans, on a 24-hour-a-day electronic bulletin board called VAONLINE: 1-800-871-8387.
NOTE: This number can be reached only by computer and modem.
The Military Division, consisting of the Massachusetts Army and Air National Guard, is the militia of the state organized for national and state defense and other emergencies. A Military Records Branch and Archives maintain records of every Massachusetts resident who has served in an armed conflict. War records up to and including the Revolution may be obtained from the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth.
