The Department of Veterans' Services has contracted with several non-profit organizations to provide safe quarters, meals, and rehabilitative services for those veterans who are homeless or those requiring medical hospice. There are two types of programs, emergency shelters and supportive housing. The lists below were current as of 04/11/2004.
Emergency Shelters are run by veterans for homeless veterans to provide a safe environment, including a bed for the night, two meals, bathing facilities, basic clothing, medical assessment, and assistance with identifying income support and housing counseling.
