If you are a SSDI (Title II) beneficiary being allowed to have reduced or lighter duties by your employer because of your disability, you must report that subsidy to your SSA Claims Representative if you want to claim the subsidy and have your countable earned income reduced. The representative will then contact your employer and ask your employer to place a dollar value on the subsidy.
See the topic Subsidy and Special Conditions for additional overview information.
See the topic Subsidies and Special Conditions - Clarification for additional description and discussion of what SSA considers when determining if a subsidy is being made and whether or not special conditions apply.
See the topic Subsidy - Reduced Duties - SSI/DI Work Incentive for additional information.
