Claiming your Extra Supervision Subsidy

If you are a SSDI (Title II) beneficiary receiving extra supervision because of your disability from your employer and/or a job coach, you must report that subsidy to your SSA Claims Representative if you want to claim the subsidy and have your countable earned income reduced. The representative will then contact your employer and/or your job coach to verify the value of the subsidy.

Additional Information

See the topic Subsidy and Special Conditions for additional overview information.

See the topic Subsidies and Special Conditions - Clarification for additional description and discussion of what SSA considers when determining if a subsidy is being made and whether or not special conditions apply.
