Section 8 Housing Overview

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) administers a variety of programs aimed at helping families secure affordable housing. WorkWORLD currently includes information and calculations for a variety of Section 8 programs. WorkWORLD does not contain calculations concerning public housing, home ownership, or State-specific housing assistance programs.

WorkWORLD will calculate your financial eligibility for specific Section 8 rental units, and it will calculate your rental payment amounts for those units. In order to do so, WorkWORLD requires that you furnish it with necessary information. See Information Needed - Section 8 for details.
