On a scheduled yearly basis the tenant must complete and file an occupancy form with the local housing authority to provide accurate information about gross household income, gross household income deductions, gross household income exclusions, employment, and household composition.
The local housing authority then determines any changes in the tenant's rent, whether the tenant's apartment size is still suitable, and whether the tenant remains eligible for continued occupancy.
