If you are married and living with your spouse, then you are considered a couple and are therefore part of the MassHealth Family Group. (See MassHealth family group for more information about who is considered a member of the family group.)
If you or your spouse is over 60 years of age and either of you is covered by a Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Waiver, then more liberal rules are applied in determining income eligibility, but Medicaid asset limits are in effect ($2,000 for an individual, $3,000 for a couple).
