The Family Independence Program emphasizes pre-employment job keeping skills and offers post-employment services designed to ensure continuous attachment to the labor force.
In order to foster employment stability, transitional services including child care, transportation and Medicaid are provided. Other retention services may be offered including intensive case management, follow-up contacts and home visits, referrals to community resources, banking and financial management, and re-employment assistance.
Special services and resources may be offered to employed clients to assist in their job progression and career advancement such as employment counseling, access to job leads and skill enhancement training.
