EAEDC - Standards of Assistance for Living Arrangement E - Massachusetts

Individuals in licensed rest homes receive $60 per month plus the per diem established for the facility by the Rate Setting Commission, minus countable income, provided that all of the following conditions are met:

·      The per diem amount is not paid by another Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) mechanism

·      The individual is not eligible for any other form of cash assistance

·      The per diem cost is charged to the individual

Laundry costs may not be charged to the personal needs allowance of a recipient.
