Job skills training includes vocational training and "hands-on" work experience to develop technical skills, knowledge, and abilities in specific occupational areas. All training programs must include qualitative measures to evaluate participant's progress. Examples include competency gains, proficiency levels, and certificates of completion.
To be eligible you must provide documentation of need to include proof of the your training or class schedule per semester and proof you are making progress in completing the degree or training program.
Child care is limited to charges necessary for actual classroom attendance, including travel time. Additional study time is never approved. When there are gaps in class times child care may be approved beginning with the first class of the day through the last class of the day. Time for laboratory work may be included in the approval for child care if participation is required for the course and is part of an actual class room activity.
