Alert - Ineligible for SNAP (Food Stamps) Due to Resources

Your household's resources exceed the limit allowed by the resource test. Therefore, your household is not eligible to receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly Food Stamp Program) benefits.

Under certain conditions, the resource test is not required. You should insure that you entered your household's information correctly if your household is categorically eligible.

If your household contains an elderly or disabled member, the resource test has a higher limit. Be sure your correctly entered information about any elderly or disabled household members.

There are a wide variety of assets that may be excluded when reporting resources. Many States have special rules for determining resources. For any resources you reported, make sure you applied any exclusions allowed by your State.
