Elderly Household Members - SNAP (Food Stamps)

In the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly Food Stamp Program), an elderly household member is defined as a person 60 years of age or older.

If someone in your household is elderly, then the household is eligible for certain deductions when calculating net income and may own more assets than other households. In addition, the household only has to meet the Net Income test.
