WorkWORLD Speech - Keyboard Commands

Three lists below provide keyboard commands used to control WorkWORLD speech output in various sections of the program. The tables indicate the key combination required to produce the speech action described. A plus sign indicates the keys are to be pressed simultaneously, while a comma means release the previous keys before pressing any others.

Commands used anywhere

Key Combination	Speech Action
Alt + L, S, O	Turn speech on.
Alt + L, S, F	Turn speech off.
Esc	Stop current speech and any speech waiting to be spoken. Normal speech will resume after that.
Insert	Repeat Title and/or contents of dialog box

Commands used in Input, Numeric Output, and File Open, Delete, Import, and Export Grids

Key Combination	Speech Action
Ctrl + Alt + 1	Speak contents of cell in first column of current row.
Ctrl + Alt + 2	Speak contents of cell in second column of current row.
Ctrl + Alt + 3	Speak contents of cell in third column of current row.
Ctrl + Alt + 4	Speak contents of cell in fourth column of current row.
Ctrl + Alt + 5	Speak contents of cell in fifth column of current row.
Ctrl + Alt + 6	Speak contents of cell in sixth column of current row.
Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R	Speak contents of all columns in current row.
Ctrl + Shift + T	Speak column heading for current column.
Ctrl + Shift + Alt + T	Speak all column headings.
Alt + U	Speak contents of current cell.

Commands used in Text Output Grid

Key Combination	Speech Action
Ctrl + Shift + T	Speak column heading for current column.
Ctrl + Shift + Alt + T	Speak all column headings.
Ctrl + H	Speak a text result in current column. Note: Reads one text result at a time. If first result, also reads column heading. Repeat to hear next text result. If last result, says "No more results". Recycles to first result in column after that.
