SD DSS - Community Assistance Programs

The South Dakota Community Assistance Program consists of Community Action Agencies that provide programs and services to low-income South Dakotans who have incomes that are within 125% of Federal Poverty Level (FPL) guidelines.

Services vary by agency and may include weatherization, energy assistance and emergency services, among others.

Four Community Action Agencies are located throughout the state in Rapid City, Sisseton, Madison, and Lake Andes. These private, nonprofit agencies are funded by Community Services Block Grants.
