MassHealth Excluded Income

The following types of income are non-countable when determining income eligibility for MassHealth programs:

·      Cash benefit income received by recipients of SSI, TAFDC or EAEDC;

·      Sheltered workshop earnings;

·      The portion of federal veterans' benefits identified as aid and attendance benefits, unreimbursed medical expenses, housebound benefits, or enhanced benefits;

·      Income-in-kind;

·      Roomer and boarder income derived from persons residing in the applicant's or member's principal place of residence;

·      Any other income that is excluded by Federal laws other than the Social Security Act.
