HCBS Waiver Eligibility - Effective Date - Iowa

The effective date for waiver eligibility is the date on which the person meets all waiver eligibility criteria. Waiver services provided before approval of eligibility or the waiver cannot be paid.

Waiver eligibility starts with the latest date of:

· Medicaid eligibility

· The level of care effective date

· The date the case plan is completed or effective
