To be eligible to participate in the Food Stamp Program, a student must meet at least one of the following requirements:
· Be employed at least 20 hours per week and be paid for the employment, or, if self-employed, be employed for a minimum of 20 hours per week and receive weekly earnings at least equal to the federal minimum wage multiplied by 20 hours; or
· Participate during the school year in a Federal or State-funded work-study program; or
· Be responsible for the care of a dependent household member, preventing the student from attending school and working a minimum of 20 hours per week or participating in a work-study program during the regular school year; or
· Be receiving TAFDC , or
· Be a single parent enrolled full-time in an institution of higher education and responsible for the care of a dependent child under the age of 12 regardless of the availability of adequate child care.
