FIP Eligibility - Special Needs - Iowa

Special needs for guardianship or conservatorship fees and school expenses can be allowed in addition to the basic needs. Before a payment for a special need can be made, you must provide documentation or information, such as:

·      A copy of the court order assigning a guardian or conservator.

·      A rental agreement when renting school equipment.

·      A written or verbal statement from a school.

·      Any reliable information indicating the need and the cost of the special need.
