The Department of Disabilities and Special Needs strives to serve all children who are eligible for services and to ensure that services meet high standards
Integrated day-care programs provide financial assistance so that children can be served in community day-care centers. Kiddie coaches help families of school-age children find suitable community day-care programs.
Child development and day-care programs provide developmental activities for children. Disabilities and Special Needs Boards (DSN) may offer the service before or after school, during parents' work hours, or during summer months.
Public schools provide education and related services for children beginning at age three (3). Families should contact their local DSN Board for information on local developmental and educational programs.
