Delete a Saved File

To delete a saved file, go to the Main Menu and click on "File" and then "Delete…" (or hold down the "Alt" key and type "F"; and then type "D"):

Click on the file you want to delete and then click on "Delete" or press "Enter". (Or use the "down arrow" to move to the file you want deleted. Then press "Enter".)

Since this will permanently delete the file, you will be asked to confirm that you actually want to delete the file:

Click the "Yes" button (or press "Enter") to confirm.

You may then delete another saved file or close the dialogue box by clicking on "Cancel" (or by holding down the "Alt" key while typing "C").

NOTE: You can not delete a file if you have it open.

If the file you try to delete is the one you have open, you will receive a warning message:

Screenshot of WorkWORLD Personal Information dialog box, with text message stating that active file may not be deleted and that the file must be closed before starting the deletion process, with focus and mouse pointer on OK button.

You must first close the open file, and then repeat the deletion process.

NOTE: You can sort on any of the columns (File Name, Consultant Name, Customer, or SSN) to make it easier for you to find or keep track of the cases listed. To sort, simply click on one of the column headings. Each time you click, you toggle the direction of the sort from ascending to descending. For instance, the first click on the File Name heading will list all your cases alphabetically from A to Z. If you click the heading again, the cases will be listed from Z to A.
