Countable Income, for purposes of determining the Auxiliary Grant (AG) Payment you receive, is calculated in the same way that Countable Income is calculated for purposes of determining Supplemental Security Income (SSI) cash benefits. (See: Countable Income - SSI.
If your countable income is higher than the SSI Federal Benefit Rate (FBR), then your AG Payment is reduced from your full Auxiliary Grant Payment Level by $1 for each $1 of countable income greater than FBR. (See: Auxiliary Grants and Employment for an explanation and example of how payments are affected by earned income.)
If your countable income is equal to or higher than the sum of the facility's AG Rate and your Personal Allowance, then you are not income-eligible for an Auxiliary Grant. (See: Auxiliary Grant Income Eligibility for an explanation and examples.
