Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program - Payment Schedule - Oklahoma

LIHEAP payments are made either directly to the participating household or to the primary provider of home energy.

One payment is made in February directly to the primary provider of utilities on behalf of those approved households that are responsible for their own heating bills. Because the LIHEAP program depends on federal funds, delays in federal funding can affect the normal schedule and operation of the program. Under certain conditions, two or more payments may be required.

Unsubsidized renters and roomers who haven the cost of utilities included in their rent are covered by the same payment schedule, except payments will be made directly to the household, not to the utility providers.
