Because the rules about the interaction between Workers' Compensation and SSDI (Title II) are so complicated, you must find out from your SSA Claims Representative and/or the agency administering your Workers’ Compensation whether:
1. Your Workers’ Compensation lowers your SSDI (called a Regular Offset); or
2. Your SSDI lowers your Workers’ Compensation (called a Reverse Offset).
In the meantime, try answering "YES" to the question, "Does your Workers Compensation benefit lower your SSDI benefit?" in the first (Current Situation) column. Then create a New Situation, and answer "NO" to that question. This will allow you to see if it makes any difference in your circumstances, and if it does, which way correctly computes your current SSDI check.
