SD Veterans Emergency Loan Fund

An interest free loan of up to $500 may be made to veterans, or a veteran's dependents, if financial relief is required for any emergency need. The amount loaned must be repaid within two years. Application is made through the South Dakota Division of Veterans Affairs (DVA) .

Eligibililty

To qualify, the veteran must meet the South Dakota definition of a Veteran and must have been a legal resident of South Dakota at the time of entry into service or for at least one year immediately prior to applying for an Emergency Loan.
