If Regular Offset does not apply in your case your Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefit should not be reduced. Following are special situations in which no Regular Offset is applied to your SSDI benefit.
· You are subject to recognized Reverse Offset payments for plans in effect before 2/19/81.
· Excludable expenses - Certain medical, legal, and related expenses.
· Jones Act - Payments made under the Jones Act.
· Interest - Interest payments.
· Federal Employees Liability Act (FELA) - Payments under FELA for railroad workers.
· Third Party - Payments made pursuant to a third part settlement.
