PASS Reducing Countable Resources - Self

The value of your resources you entered above exceeds (or is within $1,000 of) the resource limits for continued SSI eligibility in your living situation. If you include some of those resources in a Plan for Achieving Self-Support (PASS), they can be excluded from your countable resources when determining your SSI eligibility. This will not change the amount of your monthly SSI check, but may permit you to continue receiving it.

You can include in a PASS resources and money to be used for training, education, work-related equipment, transportation, and current work expenses, if any.

You must have what SSA agrees is a feasible occupational goal, a specific savings/spending plan; and you must be able to clearly account for the resources and income that are to be set aside. You must then follow the plan and negotiate revisions as needed.

NOTE: Your PASS must end when the occupational goal in the PASS has been reached.

If you can include some of your otherwise countable resources in a PASS, answer "Yes" to this question.
