Housing Supports - Section 8 Rental Assistance Applications - South Carolina

The waiting lists for Section 8 Rental Assistance are open for families headed by a person who is Elderly, Disabled or a Veteran. The Surviving Spouse of a Veteran is also eligible to apply. The Waiting List will remain closed for all other applicants until further notice.

The Section 8 Program does not provide emergency assistance. A family or individual applies to the Authority and is placed on a county waiting list. Currently, the waiting list in all counties is at least two years.
