Up to $10,000 deposited in an Individual Development Account (IDA) will be excluded as a resource for Family Independence Program (FIP) applicants and recipients. A lump sum payment of $10,000 or less that is deposited in an IDA within 30 days of receipt will also be excluded in the determination of the benefit group's resource limit for the FIP.
Funds in an IDA in excess of $10,000 will be counted against the $2,500 resource limit.
