The following listed services shall require an assessment of the client’s (and/or the client’s family) economic need in order to determine the client's level of participation in meeting the cost(s) of the service(s).
· Maintenance (except in support of diagnostic services).
· Transportation (except in support of diagnostic services).
· Physical and mental restoration.
· Post-secondary training program cost(s).
· Tools, equipment, and class required extra expenses for post-secondary training.
· Telecommunications, sensory, and other technological aids and devices.
· Occupational licenses, tools and equipment.
· Initial stocks and supplies.
· Assistive Technology devices (except in support of diagnostic services).
· Housing.
· Personal assistance services (except in support of diagnostic services).
· Other goods and services which are expected to benefit a client in terms of an employment outcome or independent living.
· Interpreter services for the deaf, when provided to Independent Living (IL) program clients.
· Services to family members of independent living program clients.
· Appropriate preventive services provided to independent living program clients to decrease their need for similar services in the future.
Interpreter Costs:
Interpreter services are provided without regards to an economic needs test except when provided to Independent Living (IL) program clients.
